What Our Clients Say About Us

Our clients often tell us how much they appreciate the difference we’ve made in their lives. And many go on to tell their relatives, friends and colleagues about the work we do here at Health in Motion Rehabilitation. Perhaps this is why we get patients coming to us from all over the world.

Many of our clients have also been kind enough to send in written testimonials about their experience with Health in Motion. Here are the highlights of what they had to say.

About Ryan

<

Ryan has been progressing so well, we have done lots of travelling in the past 2 years and will continue. The improvement curve has been accelerating at fast rate ever since started with Natan in May 2009. I will never forget the exciting moment that I was able to hold his hand for a walk for the very first time. There have been lots of exciting moments from seeing him gaining mobility functions

one by one in the past 5 years...and improvement continues everyday.

He will have a sleep study this summer to test using a Bi PaP machine. If successful, the trach can be removed in the near foreseeable future. If not this time, I am sure it won't be too far. I will keep you posted.

Thank you Health In Motion!.

Yvonne, Toronto, Canada

About Poppy

Poppy

After just 2 weeks of therapy at Health in Motion Poppy started rolling, she can move so much better, grab things, sit for longer, all things that she couldn’t do before. The whole experience has been so positive and we are now looking forward to the future to learn about what Poppy can do, instead of always being told what she can’t. Thank you so much to everyone at Health in Motion, we can’t thank you enough.

Hayley Lyons, England, UK

About SaraCorinne

SaraCorinne

In the four weeks that we’ve been here, we’ve seen amazing results with SaraCorinne. Natan and the staff here at Health in Motion have taught her the steps on how to roll, how to sit and how to stand, and in turn have taught us how to help her do those things. SaraCorinne is now rolling, not on her own, but she does all the things in sequence. To anybody who has a child who is not able to do things: this is where you can learn how to teach your kids to do those things...we can’t wait to come back.

About Keneisha

Four weeks ago, my husband and I took a leap of faith and drastic decision to help Keneisha and decided to do therapy at Health in Motion. We were not disappointed by any means. Four weeks ago Keneisha could not roll, her crawling was limited and concentrated on her dominant side. Through a dedicated team Keneisha is now able to transition from sitting to standing, crawl on all fours, and weight bear on her left side. Her left arm was always in a 90° position and within a week of therapy this arm was more relaxed and at her side. Keneisha’s speech is improving and is now able to follow 1-2 directions. We return to Trinidad hopeful and optimistic that the treatment and application of LIFE skills will help to propel Keneisha’s development to independency. Keniesha is also able to walk much better than when we started. It also proves that an initial diagnosis of HIE is not a limitation to any development. The HIM staff are amazing and caring. If you need to make the sacrifice, do it, you will not be disappointed. It has changed our perspective of therapy and Keneisha is better off for having spent four weeks at HIM doing the Maxi LIFE Program.

About Finn

Finn

We entered this programme on a recommendation from a friend so I already had an idea of what to expect, but halfway through the four weeks it is exceeding all my expectations. Natan is amazing with Finn, he knows exactly what to do with him & how to handle him. Already I am seeing a huge improvement with Finn and he is delighted with all the new things he is learning to do. For the first time since Finn has been diagnosed I am excited about what he is going to achieve.

About Blake

Blake was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and global developmental disability when he was 10 months old. At one year, we brought him to Health in Motion. At this time he could not roll over, or sit, and had very little neck movement and eye contact.

Within weeks we saw huge changes in Blake. His tone, eye contact and range of movement had significantly improved, and he was overall much happier and aware.

The staff are all very supportive and will take the time to explain any questions or concerns. They have given us hope that he will be able to sit up and walk one day. They have truly changed his life and we are excited to continue on this journey with them!

About Devon

I feel we have gained a great amount of knowledge during the short period of time we’ve been coming to Health in Motion, and only wish we had learned about the program earlier.

We have noticed a big improvement and feel we’ve finally been given the knowledge we needed to teach our son how to move. He’s been breathing much better and making sounds. He’s much more alert and active. 1 month ago, we were told he should be put on a feeding tube, and in two weeks, he’s made great improvements with eating and drinking. I have high hopes of Devon sitting independently and crawling. We now feel we know how to properly teach him.

The Health in Motion staff are great. They are positive, very informative and have given us hope that Devon is capable of doing all the things other children do.

About Isabella

We came here looking for a missing link and I think we found it. We never really put emphasis on the quality of the movements. We appreciated mobility, moving or shifting from one point to the other. We have learned how to work harder for better quality of each and every movement. We appreciate trunk rotation and the separation of body parts in carrying out some tasks and we hope that will help us in achieving our ultimate goal, ‘walking.’ We would like to thank each and everyone at HIM for making us feel home, loved and welcomed. We believe our relationship will definitely last forever. Thank you all!

Jolene Mankoe, South Africa

About Sean

Sean

Our son Sean was diagnosed with cerebral palsy 25 February 2009 when he was 10 months old. Health in Motion was recommended to us by friends in Ireland who had a very positive experience with their son’s treatment so we decided to give it a try.

The Health in Motion team is very professional, caring and most importantly has provided excellent all round treatment for Seán including functional rehabilitation, massage therapy and communication skills. Natan is a very unique individual and is second to none when it comes to his dedication and treatment. Thank God we found Health in Motion and we thank Natan and the Health in Motion team for their continuing support.

About Tayeb

As we tried to find a cure for my daughter all over my country and Germany as well, this is the only place that made my daughter in better shape and health. We will come again next year for phase two of her treatment and hoping she will be like the other kids in her age.

Talal, Saudi Arabia

About Maggie

maggie

Our daughter, Maggie, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was 17 months old, though we expected this diagnosis much sooner. In the four weeks that we’ve been here, Maggie and we have learned so much and she has accomplished amazing things. She can roll, sit and crawl – all the things that she tried her best to do before but not properly. She can now transition from the floor to sitting, to being on her knees, to stand and she is even taking steps with very little support both with and without a walker. We were told to get a wheelchair before we came! Overall, we can’t say enough about Natan and the staff here at Health in Motion. From functional rehabilitation, to massages, communication and diet advice, they have it all covered. We’re so grateful God led us here to support our little Maggie. Thank you so much!

Daniel + Amanda, Nashville, TN, U.S.A.
